A less stressful day/entry

Happy St. Patricks Day!

Although I have not a drop of Irish blood in me, I still celebrated the day with the wearing of some green. Too bad I couldnt have started my day with an Irish Coffee.

Mmm Irish Coffee

If I lived closer to my parents Id have been there for dinner this evening. My mother always makes corned beef and cabbage on St. Pattys Day. Its very yummy.

Today would have been my Grandpa Joes 91st birthday. Happy Birthday, Gramps! I love and miss you.

The new Star Wars game is sucking up way too much of my free time. I havent done a stitch of housework since Sunday. Well, I actually tidied up the dining room table and the coffee table yesterday when I came home for lunch, but I still need to vacuum, do the dishes, clean the bathroom, tidy up the guest room and so on.

Cant blame Star Wars tonight for not getting anything done, though. Went to my hairdresser after work and got some dark red highlights. By the time I got home it was almost time for The OC so I heated up some leftovers from last night and got settled in. Spoiler alert if you havent watched tonights episode, stop reading! I have to say as much as Alexs jealousy has been pissing me off the past couple of episodes, when she and Marissa hugged towards the end of tonights episode I cried. It doesnt look like theyre going to try to work it out. Part of me is sad about this, but part of me wants Marissa back with Ryan. Cant have it both ways. Or can we? Not likely. Aaaaand, judging from the highlights of next weeks show, it doesnt look like Julies blackmailer is leaving quietly.

The Porn Identity. Bwahaha! Now thats funny.

D and I are going away next weekend. Hes playing in a chess tournament. This particular tournament is always held on Easter weekend. Ive never been able to figure out why its on Easter weekend. Anyway, the woman at work (L) who lives very close to us is going to house-sit/cat-sit for us while were gone, so I want the place spotless by next Thursday. Ds heading down to our destination on Thursday but Im not going until Friday after work. So, if L isnt working her 2nd job next Thursday evening shes going to come over and watch The OC with me. Its a win-win situation she cant stand her roommates and is looking forward to being away from them for the final weekend she has to live with them, and were happy to have someone here to watch the cats while were away. Im hoping shell be able to house-sit/cat-sit for us again when we go on vacation in July. She just got a new apartment and is moving in the first weekend of April. I went and checked it out with her when she saw it for the first time. Its a cute place. Very cozy and comfortable.

After much gnashing of teeth and ripping out of hair, we managed to land a pair of tickets for one count it, ONE Red Sox game this summer. And it just happens to be on my birthday! Im praying to the pitching gods now that the lineup will allow my man to be on the mound that evening. Theyre playing the Devil Rays. Feh. Playing the DRays wont be much fun without Pedro. Oh well, Im just happy well be getting to at least one game this summer. Id love to make it to an Os game. Even thought about driving to Baltimore for a game but its around an 8 hour drive from here. No. Thank. You. Maybe when Im retired.

Im holding out hope that well score some more tickets soon.

I havent had coffee since last Friday. Its been difficult not stopping at the coffee shop on my way in to work every morning. Ive noticed that my heart palpitations have stopped, though. Wonder if my system just doesnt want coffee anymore. If so, that seriously sucks.

Okay, thats enough for me for tonight. Time for bed. Thanks for stopping in. Have a great night! :-)
